Hi, I’m Kelly, and I want to welcome you to my digital knitting home.  I pour my heart into creating handmade knits that are more than just warm accessories – they’re pieces of cherished memories.

The name “Altogether Different Knits” is part of a cherished memory too.  My Nana introduced me to knitting and would say, “Something that’s handmade? That’s altogether different.” Little did I know that this would eventually lead me here, spreading her warm hugs and vibrant personality to you through every stitch.  

What really sets my knits apart is my attention to detail and the personal touches I add to every single item. My Christmas Stockings are made out of 100% wool from Canada, and I buy yarn for my hats from a local shop in Gloucester, MA, where the owner often goes out of her way to get me small batches of merino wool yarn, hand-dyed by people who have difficulty finding other kinds of employment. That means every batch of yarn I get is completely unique, and makes my hats sure to last and look, well, altogether different.

I believe that knitting is more than just a hobby – it's a way to connect, express, and create warmth, both literally and figuratively. That’s also why every purchase supports the Haven Project, a charity for homeless youth that’s near and dear to my heart.  Beyond the stitches and patterns, what truly matters is the joy that these handmade pieces bring to you, your loved ones, and the community we all belong to.
